Bumped onto an issue I can't solve...
I set up my laptop booting rEFInd -> Plymouth with luksOpen -> autologin -> startx
If I press F1 during a Plymouth stage after rootfs gets decrypted, I got my system up and running.
If I leave the Plymouth splash in place, I get startx failing with error
Code: | [ 102.722] (II) systemd-logind: took control of session /org/freedesktop/login1/session/_310
[ 102.723] (II) xfree86: Adding drm device (/dev/dri/card0)
[ 102.723] (II) Platform probe for /sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:08.1/0000:03:00.0/drm/card0
[ 102.725] (EE) systemd-logind: failed to take device /dev/dri/card0: Device or resource busy

AFAIU Plymouth shall release the device but it does not. Any clues?
Thanks!
P.S. In spite of the name, it's elogind. I'm on classical OpenRC. |

Oookay, I've installed plymouth-openrc-plugin and it gets through now!
The only minor annoyance is that it flickers to text mode for a couple of seconds at the end of init sequence.
At least it's all usable now... |
