busybox segfailts on initramfs script but not in shell

Greetings,

I've wrote a custom init script for my initramfs, in it I call a statically compiled version of blkid (I need PARTUUID and busybox's blkid doesn't supports it)
to find the boot partition, when I run blkid as part of the init script, I get segfault, but when I drop to shell (save one as the script is running inside, all goes well.
busybox's blkid works inside the shell but lacks partuuid support

any ideas what it can be?
