Hallo zusammen!
Eben will ich auf meinem Notebook Acer Nitro 5 stable aktualisieren.
Folgende Änderungen tauchen auf:
Nach zunächst 3 Paketen erscheint die Aufforderung:
eselect profile list
eselect profile set 9 mit merged-usr
Danach sollen 29 Pakate reinstalliert werden mit -split-usr

Das ist das Ergebnis: kein Update, sondern diese lange Meldung, die ich nicht interpretieren kann.
Ich bin in der Hoffnung, daß mir irgendjemand behilflich sein kann, das Problem zu lösen, wofür ich sehr dankbar bin.

Nachtrag:
Ich habe das Gefühl, daß eine komplette NeuInstallation notwendig sei.
Vor allem mit einem stage-merged-usr.
Denn so, wie das jetzt aussieht, kann ich mir kaum vorstellen, daß ein bestehendes System weiterleben kann.

Auf stable mit Änderung funktioniert in der Konsole auch nichts mehr:

unbekannt
Dort kann ich nun nicht mehr als root ein update durchführen.
Fazit: NeuInstallation.

Huh ja, schaut aus als hättest du die nötige Migration auf merged-usr so wie im news item beschrieben ausgelassen, siehe

Fazit news items nicht beachten war noch nie ne gute Idee :-/
/Edit:
Falls du noch versuchen möchtest was zu retten - dann würde ich folgendes versuchen:
1) stell auf dein vorheriges split-usr Profil zurück
2) setze dann PATH und ROOTPATH so wie hier vorgeschlagen
3) emerge dann sys-apps/baselayout
4) mache 2) rückgängig
5) mach dann die Migration so wie im news item beschrieben. |

Vielen Dank für diesen Hinweis. Ich habe zwar diese Nachrichten gesehen und gelesen,
aber möglicherweise nicht alles richtig einordnen können.
Ich installiere gerade gentoo-stable neu, nutze stage-merged-usr vom 18.02.2024.
Es geht gut voran, letzter Schritt steht bevor: libreoffice-bin libreoffice-l10n.
