Problems with KDE applications

I use Gentoo and XFCE. My problem is with KDE applications like Dolphin, Kate, and Krusader. When I start the application, it uses 100% of one of my CPU's and never opens up a window. I think it has to do with reading the file system.
On the command line, when I do:
krusader --debug --left=/ --right=/

I get:

Does anyone have any advice? I appreciate the help!
