Gentoo kernel change now nomodeset

Kernel for live cd changed from 6.1.57 to 6.1.66 and now nomodeset doesn't work. Is there a new parameter I have to use?

The parameter appears to still be present: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git/tree/drivers/gpu/drm/drm_nomodeset.c?h=v6.1.67

For most systems, nomodeset should not be needed. What are you doing that you enabled it?

Well what syntax should I be using? nomodeset with no quotes is what is actually on a refind_linux.conf file because I’m on a 2006 iMac.

My Radeon driver causes artifacting is why I need to disable at boot.

Should I try drm_nomodeset = true?
