With my openrc system, when have installed systemd-utils, macchanger setting a bridge random address does not work.
1) I hacked macchanger to accept bridge:
# grep -A2 "for f" /lib/netifrc/net/ifplugd.sh
#....for f in bond bridge tuntap vlan wireless; do
for f in bond tuntap vlan wireless; do
if type "_is_${f}" >/dev/null 2>&1; then
2) enabled in conf.d/net:
..
mac_br5="random-ending"
...
So bridge gets random mac, initially. But when restart interface (or boot I suppose), the mac address always changes to a fixed one, ie not random, multiple machines get same bridge mac address.
Removing systemd-utils, the random mac address, stays random, ie across service restarts.
I am not sure where to file this; and it would be good to get confirmation this is an issue
