After upgrading media-video/pipewire it prints something like

Code: Select all

* Messages for package media-video/pipewire-1.2.5:
* Log file: /var/log/portage/build/media-video/pipewire-1.2.5:20241012-111347.log.gz

* Please restart KWin/Mutter after upgrading PipeWire.
How to do that?

With regards to KWin, you /can/ do

Code: Select all

kwin_x11 --replace
to restart KWin without logging out, but I suspect it might not be enough for this purpose (I'm not that familiar with pipewire and the likes).
Kindest of regardses.

That does not work under Wayland.

The same applies for running the r command from Gnome.
