The last update of gentoo-kernel is in the 6.3.x, while kernel is at 6.4.x now (even gentoo-sources), does anyone know if this is intended or they have a problem (or in the worst case it will be discontinued)? _________________ Some people should use emerge brain on theirselves... |

It's typical for gentoo-kernel to wait a few .x before jumping to the new major version (barely on .2), also spares users from early issues with these more major updates. Don't know when exactly, but it'll get used sooner or later.
And 6.3.x is not EOL yet and still getting updates (last release was ~2 days ago), so you're not getting a old kernel. |

Thanks for your response, that makes sense.
Btw, I don't feel like I'm getting an old kernel, it's just me who likes to use always latest and this is the first time I am using gentoo-kernel instead of gentoo-sources+genkernel so I was just wondering.
Thanks again _________________ Some people should use emerge brain on theirselves... |
