The newest stable version ppp-2.5.0-r2 was screwing something up. openfortivpn wouldn't connect with this error "Peer refused to agree to his IP address". Anyway I fixed this problem by downgrading ppp to 2.4.9-r9.

Thought the higher up peeps should know.
