Hi, I take a bit of time to write a problem I have from one month now.
I can't say where this come from exactly, kernel, networkmanager or something else, but this happened randomly.

So, to explain the problem, sometimes, when I'm using my laptop, suddenly some website become unavailable.
At the beginning, I didn't understand why, because my laptop is connected to internet.
I checked on my mobile and the website was online.

I finally realize after few tests, I need to disconnect my laptop to my wifi, and connect it again to it, and finally I can again connect again.
To summarize, when this bug appear, I can't go to some website.

Do you know any bugs or issues reported like that ?

This is my system info:
Code:

Use
Code:

nameserver 1.1.1.1

in /etc/resolv.conf when this happens.
Which website?

I don't remember which website because this bug occur completely randomly...

I tried your solution, but the problem is NetworkManager rewrite often this file.

And it doesn't solve the problem. I had again to disconnect NetworkManager to the wifi and connect it again.
Is it a bug with NetworkManager ???

Have you checked which changes this ? ->
https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Resolv.conf#head
Have you tried to configure it that it dont touch your resolv.conf ? ->

So if it's like that, we need to wait the next time when this bug will occur again :(

These don't look good (starting at 10:25:44):
Quote:
Route cache is full: consider increasing sysctl net.ipv6.route.max_size

Googling the message brings up a bunch of suggestions, which boil down to increasing the cache size.

It's worth checking this message does not turn up (as much?) in sessions when you don't have problems.

On my system, the ipv6 value is way smaller than the ipv4 value, same as reported by other google search hits:
Code:
# sysctl net.ipv6.route.max_size
net.ipv6.route.max_size = 4096
# sysctl net.ipv4.route.max_size
net.ipv4.route.max_size = 2147483647

(I don't use ipv6)

When you say this don't look good, it's very alarming ? Or i just need some adjustment ?

I have the same result as you:
Code:
zohran@alienware-m17-r3 ~ $ sysctl net.ipv6.route.max_size
net.ipv6.route.max_size = 4096
zohran@alienware-m17-r3 ~ $ sysctl net.ipv4.route.max_size
net.ipv4.route.max_size = 2147483647
zohran@alienware-m17-r3 ~ $

I don't know if the problem can come from that, but I use plasma-firewall with firewalld, and nftables

NeddySeagoon/Fulgurance, it's probably worth comparing your kernel configs for CONFIG_IPV6_*

Also, some idea of the number of routes you have normally and when things go wrong, because the error message is that its failed to allocate an entry (in the ipv6 FIB) when it needed to.
Code:
 # route -6 | wc -l
