ModuleNotFoundError: No module 'setuptools.extern' (solved)

hi .

after the latest update i cannot compile u-boot and getting this error :

I dont know what package that provide setuptools.extern and need some help.

u-boot is from git . and to be fair i think this needs to be moved to unsupported or stay depends on how one see it..... i have done some digging and find this in setuptools :

if i understand this correct gentoo is removing that module?. as i am updating my systems quite often and my other stuff it is sometimes

You can change line with

but make sure to have installed dev-python/packaging.

thanks . that worked . revert the commit did it to but gives warning that is quite old. but i wont mark this as solved because i need more answers why
gentoo is removing the module . like if it is just gentoo specific or something else ...

Add packaging and other module as extern in setuptools seems a "ugly */extern hack that breaks on unvendored deps".
Also arch linux report that in PKGBUILD of python-setuptools
