[SOLVED] Kmail email address autocompletion broken

Bit of a nasty regression in the latest stable Kmail ; I guess it's down to the upgrade of kde-frameworks (probably kcompletion) to 5.99.0, as my kmail is unchanged since July, and it was working OK last week.
The issue is that kmail no longer autocompletes email addresses, so I have to delve into the address book to get names.
I've checked the appropriate settings, and it should still be enabled.
There seems to be a KDE bug which says fixed, but not where...

Bug says fixed in 5.20.x which would be available in Gentoo ebuild repository as 22.08.3 which is still only ~arch (except for arm64) but waiting to be stabiised for several days already.
