Try

Code: Select all

mkdir ~/.config/pulse
and restart pulseaudio.
If you are using pulseaudio instead of pipewire then you should build it with USE="daemon"
And you can start it via

Code: Select all

/etc/init.d/pulseaudio start
:)

I already have an empty

Code: Select all

~/.config/pulse
I reinstalled it with the daemon, however, there is nothing like "/etc/init.d/pulseaudio" file.

I tried running it :

Code: Select all

pulseaudio
E: [pulseaudio] pid.c: Daemon already running.
E: [pulseaudio] main.c: pa_pid_file_create() failed.
I still don't have any sound...

Check 'pactl list sinks' if you have any sink muted.
Normally pulseaudio should be starting with your desktop session under your normal user account, so there is no init.d entry.

Suspended state is normal if nothing is playing through this sink; note it is Mute: yes so you need to unmute it.

Thanks, that was the source of the problem.

Solved by using :

Code: Select all

pactl set-sink-mute 3 toggle
(the number of my sink was 3)
