Some widgets settings reset after every boot

Hello, actually I'm quite annoying with 2 widgets I added in my desktop (kde plasma).
Actually I have in total 5 widgets, 3 work perfectly and keep the settings I set for them, but the others one; Individual core usage and Memory usage don't keep what I set. I want them to stay with Line chart, but when I reboot, they switch again to bar chart. And I add one more entry in the memory usage to show the swap, but after reboot, it remove it all the time ... I think it's a bug, but how can I fix that, or maybe edit the widget config ? ( I guess plasma don't write their config files)

i'am not sure, because i don't use kde - is there an option to lock widgets ? right klick on desktop ?

is there any difference if you save plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc from with working widgets and compare this file after restart ?

and what if you try with save session?!

It's strange because the configuration file wasn't alterated. The problem come from somewhere else. (you can have look for example in the widget 57, it's one of who give me problems.

if you save both files and compare it with app-misc/mc, then you'll see that there is a difference.

But I don't talk about my widgets location, there settings change, I mean the graphics display, how they show there data ...etc 4k screen (I have ) or other resolution isn't the problem for that. It's just kde don't save my widgets settings, that is the problem

I seen the widgets configurations are reset as well when I just log out and log in again to my user

I've had this happen, stopped a little while ago presumably after some package or other was updated. Never did get to the bottom of it.

But to be honest, the problem persist, even I done already all of my update. And I have the latest, because I use testing ebuilds

I just tried now your trick. Hum, I will don't use anymore After I saved my config with this widget, I restarted my laptop, again my widgets changed their configurations, and when I used the widget to load my saved config, I had a black screen, and nothing more. It killed plasma purely and simply

good, it's a start.

KDE always changes or removes some good options - there was an option to lock widgets, but they removed it.

Ask the KDE Community to maybe bring it back - i also read somewhere that KDE will implement better 4k handling in the future.
