Gui problem with Spectacle - won't go away [Solved]

When I try to take a screenshot with Spectacle, I have difficulty (sometimes not possible) in locating the faded screenshot gui away from being part of my image.

but what I'm talking about shows in the upper right of the saved image. It is the spectacle gui, slightly grayed out.

I must be missing something very simple.. I'm on Gentoo linux, up to date KDE.

PS: I posted this over in the KDE.org forums, but perhaps it is something to do with my Gentoo setup, I don't know.

[edit] Apparently a known bug. Adding a short delay (like a second or two) fixes the issue.
