Hi , tryed sdrpp v1.04 and worked fine.
But that sdrpp version it is almost one year old , and recently I managed to emerge the sdrpp v1.10 -9999 under that recycled old sony vaio vgn-z11wn laptop ,
and I got the following errors ,

pentoo@pentoo ~ $ sdrpp
[2022-08-05 20:20:56.327] [info] SDR++ v1.1.0

If I run glxinfo | grep -i opengl
OpenGL vendor string: Intel

That sony vaio vgn-z11wn has the GPU , Geforce 9300 GS . and based on that link , it should be able to support OpenGl 3.3 ????
https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-9300m-gs.c1523

I believe that this old GPU Geforce 9300M GS , should be able to support higher version of OpenGl driver update .

Checking my make.conf, I do not see any VIDEO_CARD , nor USE of OpenGl .

I have installed this ,

* x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers
Latest version available: 510.73.05-r1
Latest version installed: 510.73.05-r1
Size of files: 322917 KiB
Homepage: https://www.nvidia.com/download/index.aspx
Description: NVIDIA Accelerated Graphics Driver
License: NVIDIA-r2 BSD BSD-2 GPL-2 MIT ZLIB curl openssl

With the following USE flags
equery uses x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers
[ Legend : U - final flag setting for installation]
[ : I - package is installed with flag ]
[ Colors : set, unset ]
* Found these USE flags for x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-510.73.05-r1:
U I
+ + X : Add support for X11
+ + abi_x86_32 : 32-bit (x86) libraries

And the top lines of emerge --info,

emerge --info
Portage 3.0.34 (python 3.10.5-final-0, pentoo/binary, gcc-11.3.0, glibc-2.35-r8, 5.18.13-pentoo x86_64)

Any help or guide about how to fix will be appreciated.
(Or if you think that it is hardware GPU , NVIDIA Geforce 9300 M GS , limitation or too old laptop , will be also good to know it ).

thanks,

7th of August-22, addtional information

Checking the sudo dsmesg , I can see ,

189.721054] nvidia-nvlink: Nvlink Core is being initialized, major device number 510
[ 189.721067] NVRM: The NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS GPU installed in this system is
NVRM: supported through the NVIDIA 340.xx Legacy drivers. Please
NVRM: visit http://www.nvidia.com/object/unix.html for more
NVRM: information. The 510.73.05 NVIDIA driver will ignore
NVRM: this GPU. Continuing probe...
[ 189.723283] NVRM: No NVIDIA GPU found.

And it is true that I have installed , the NVIDIA driver : x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers , Latest version installed: 510.73.05-r1

But I can see another similar post, there, https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-1117500-start-0.html

Maybe, they can advice me there , about how to fix it .

Thanks ,
