I was wondering which filesystems I should use for my partitions. I read something about XFS being faster with small files, so why not use XFS for the / partition? So far I have been all but using EXT2 (and EXT3 lately), so I was considering some experiments with XFS or ReiserFS.
Any recommendations? _________________ A computer lets you make more mistakes faster than any other human invention in history... with the possible exception of handguns and tequila. |

You can get a sampling of opinions on this subject from here and here. A forum search for "filesystem and recommend" turned up several other threads, too, so locking this one. _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |
