Using an Apple Thunderbolt Display on a HP 800 G4 SFF. It's working almost perfectly.
Sometimes when powersaving settings turn it off after some time of inactivity and you move the mouse or press any key, it won't turn back on. Or so I thought - Today I discovered that if I press [Ctrl][Alt][1...7] (to switch to a TTY), it turns on (and of course it switches to the TTY). Switching to the "graphical TTY" goes back where you left it.
Tried with a Kubuntu live usb, but could not replicate the issue.
The other thing is that KDE won't list it under the Thunderbolt page (in Settings), saying just that "Thunderbolt subsystem is not available". This does not happen in the Kubuntu live usb, where it does list the device.
I feel like those two things are tied up together but cannot figure why any of them are happening.
