This thread is related to one I made previously: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-1146022-highlight-.html
So I had a game installed in WINE, installed DXVK inside of my WINEPREFIX and all of a sudden WINE broke completely. I noticed before that I couldn't get games that required 3D acceleration to work but now my suspicions have confirmed that it's a DXVK problem. Here is the WINE log: http://ix.io/3ICT
Notice how it says "Failed to create Direct3D Device: Faild to create Direct3D9.", what could be the cause for this? |

No worries, it seems that game doesn't work on Windows either
Did you try setting your wineprefix to winXP or lower ?
PS : my 2 cents really, but it doesn't seem like a 3D intensive game, not sure DXVK will bring any performance gains compared to OpenGL renderer. |
