audacity / application launcher

So seemigly out of the blue my keyboard shortcut for audacity stopped working. I checked my application launcher in KDE and sure enough audacity is not there. If I manually type "audacity" in the application launcher it just shows it as /usr/bin with a little cog, and you cant launch it.

I can however launch audacity from the terminal just fine, I also tried to re-emerge with no luck... Any ideas?

Sounds like perhaps KDE's launcher is what was giving you the keyboard shortcut and it is confused about where to find audacity.
