Problem with plasma and window key

Hello, I switched to a new laptop recently, and I installed again plasma. But I have a small problem, when I input the windows key, this don't open the plasma menu, nothing happened. And when I try to change the shortcut and I press the windows key, the software refuse to keep this touch, I seen just few second the name of the catched touch (not the good as well, it's wrote: Meta+...) but after the field stay empty

Is it possible it's in conflit with fcitx ? Because at the beginning of my setup, window key was working

I tested, but it's not fcitx fault.

Odd. It works fine on my Artix Linux system, but not on Gentoo. Also, when trying to configure a shortcut for the Application Launcher, the Windows key seems to be taken as a Meta- key, so it needs another key to create a shortcut. However, after doing some searching, it seems that if you map the keyboard shortcut for the Application Launcher to Meta+Space (Meta is the Windows aka Superkey) then just hitting the windows key alone does what you want.

I tried what you said, but it don't work. I registred Meta+Space, but I can't register only meta key. And meta+space don't open the application launcher as well.It's fully bugged or in conflict I think

EDIT: It work if I edit with right click on the application launcher icon, but not if I change that by the systemsettings.

You can't assign an action to a modifier key only just using the settings menu.
Meta key is set in .config/kwinrc

Oh okay.It's sad, because in only in gentoo I have this problem. Thanks you for this information, I will do that with my kwinrc file

The secret handshake that is default enabled for Meta key opening Application Launcher is Alt+F1.
