Hi everyone!
In this one I am more looking on a way to start diagnosing the trouble than a proper solution (it'd be welcome, though).
Lately I've been unable to connect to my main business machine remotely using teamviewer. That is, I can connect, but after a few seconds the remote display seems to freeze. The pointer moves but it can't click or interact in any way.
If I move physically in front of the remote box, everything is ok and I can work as usual. In dmesg I can see this:
Code: | [mié oct 6 18:58:54 2021] TeamViewer[9932]: segfault at 140 ip 0000000000e20036 sp 00007fced3ffbda0 error 4 in TeamViewer[400000+1c2c000]
[mié oct 6 18:58:54 2021] Code: 89 07 e9 b1 ff ff ff 90 53 48 89 fb e8 e3 ff ff ff be 58 00 00 00 48 89 df 5b e9 a2 ed 53 00 90 48 8b 47 78 c3 90 53 48 89 fb <48> 8b 86 40 01 00 00 48 89 07 48 81 c6 48 01 00 00 48 8d 7f 08 e8 |
It seems to always segfault at the same point. Connecting from a phone or another computer doesn't seem to make a difference.
I've been googling around and some people suggested that the intel display driver might have something to do with the problem. However I tried the modesetting driver and it made no difference either.
Being this a bin static blob ldd reports nothing about the dynamic linking integrity of the binary file, so I have no idea whether the problem lies in some random library from my base system.
Any idea on where to start looking?
Thanks for reading and for any insight you can provide! |
