Nitrogen not recognizing 2 displays

I have been trying to set 2 different wallpapers for my two different displays but Nitrogen only considers them as one whole display. Moreover, I have tried to enable the use flag Xinerama but still no luck. Is there something wrong with gentoo or nitrogen or is it a user end mistake?

I have never tried out Nitrogen, however the concept of screens and viewports leads me to think you have one screen and you can only set the wall paper for that.
Can you give us some more info about your setup?
Are you using X?
Whats your window manager openbox?
