I installed Gentoo today but the screen resolution is very low (1024x768) but my monitor supports 1920x1080@60Hz. The other monitor is just black and isn't being detected by X and the OS. Tried reinstalling the drivers. I am using a AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB VRAM, The main monitor is using DisplayPort and the 2nd one is using DVI. |

matteodev,
You will need an xorg.conf.d/ fragment to describe how your displays are positioned.
Also I suspect that you are not using the graphics driver you think you are. Make friends with wgetpaste and put your entire Xorg.0.log file onto a pastebin.
Depending on how you installed Xorg the log will either be in /var/log or somewhere in /home/<user_name>
Its too big to fit into a post. The Radeon RX 580 should use the amdgpu driver.
The amdgpu driver is in several pieces. A kernel piece, linux-firmware, the Xorg driver and the radeonsi code for mesa. You need all the pieces assembled in the right order.
The log will show what actually happened when Xorg started. _________________ Regards,
