Failing to build a gentoo-sources kernel with kernel.org default .config:
Code:
make oldconfig
keeps pulling information from /boot. (May be System.map.* or config-* files).
No /boot partition here yet, which unmount could have helped...
Any idea how to inhibate this mechanism?
Thks 4 ur attention, interest & support.

If you want the default configuration you should use "make defconfig". See more here: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/admin-guide/README.html#configuring-the-kernel
