Hi all,
Today I rebooted my machine after a world update and when I turned it on again Plasma had some issues starting. I can login and use gui applications just fine but the toolbar and every widget on the desktop are gone.
When I tried to start some plasma apps such as system setting or syslog the application chrashes and I get a segmentation fault error.
I've looked into dmesg and this is the warning:

There is probably some kind of error between mysql and mariadb but I'm not smart enough to troubleshoot it by myself.
If you have any suggestions it would be much appreciated :) |

Does plasma use mariadb?
Mariadb is an open-source implementation of mysql.
Package name "mariadb" daemon name mysql.
Try disabling mysql.
And see what happens or downgrade mariadb.
