Hi All,
I have a desktop install running on an old Dell Latitude E5420, 4GB RAM with Xfce, fully up to date with latest stable kernel. The video is Intel integrated and has a Synaptic touchpad. Everything works properly with one minor issue. Within Xfce, the touchpad does not respond to a finger tap (which should represent a left-click).
I have done web searches and searched here and could not find anything on point.
Suggestions?

XFCE->settings-manager->mouce and touchpad->touchpad->touchpad->tap touchpad to click
