Plz try
Code: |
emerge -av intel-microcode linux-firmware
|
See
https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Intel_microcode
If still problem persists dont worry.
The messages are completely harmless and ignorable.
The messages in question indicate that OS is disabling ASPM
From Redhat Access
Quote: |
Active-state power management (ASPM) is a power management mechanism for PCI Express devices to garner power savings while otherwise in a fully active state. Predominantly, this is achieved through active-state link power management; i.e., the PCI Express serial link is powered down when there is no traffic across it. It is normally used on laptops and other mobile Internet devices to extend battery life.
|
You can turn this message and ASPM off by using kernel parameter
in /etc/default/grub
and update grub. _________________

So I did some investigation:
1. I've fixed my DSDT table.
2. I've included it into initrd before initramfs loading
3. I've checked dmesg.. and it looks ok. Kernel found custom DSDT table and loaded it.
But unfortunately it did't help.
I've done some investigation ... so.. it's not possible to have ASPM turned off... due to it's my laptop and I want to have ASPM is working well. I find some interesting researching.. so at least my Laptop HP Pavilon DV7 must support ASPM. The original issue is: Quote: | This error message occurs when the kernel runs the root PCI bridge _OSC control method in your firmware and the execution fails, perhaps due to a bug in the firmware or perhaps it does not exist. The kernel hence cannot determine the features supported or capabilities provided by the device (as specified by your firmware) and hence has to disable PCIe ASPM |
So even I've got fixed DSDT .. looks like it's stil firmware bug...
Thank you. I'll create new one soon then. |
