Title: libxml2: Multiple vulnerabilities (GLSA 202107-05)
Exploitable: local, remote
Bug(s): #749849, #790002
Multiple vulnerabilities have been found in libxml2, the worst of
which could result in a Denial of Service condition.
libxml2 is the XML (eXtended Markup Language) C parser and toolkit
initially developed for the GNOME project.
Vulnerable: < 2.9.11
Unaffected: >= 2.9.11
Architectures: All supported architectures
Multiple vulnerabilities have been discovered in libxml2. Please review
the CVE identifiers referenced below for details.
A remote attacker could entice a user to process a specially crafted XML
document using an application linked against libxml2, possibly resulting
in a Denial of Service condition or obtaining sensitive information.
There is no known workaround at this time.
All libxml2 users should upgrade to the latest version:
|# emerge --sync
# emerge --ask --oneshot --verbose ">=dev-libs/libxml2-2.9.12-r3"
