As far as I can tell from git history, once a new version of Plasma or KDE Framework is marked stable, the previously stable version is dropped from portage within a week. Why?
Since I ran , my system is now running a version of KDE that no longer exists in portage. I wanted to enable a USE flag I had previously disabled, but I don't want to upgrade KDE right now. Unless I find a way to rollback my portage database to a previous version (more than 10 days old, so there's no snapshot available), my only choice is to upgrade everything. |

All the ebuilds that were ever in ::gentoo are in git. _________________ Regards,

They are broken by subsequent dependency bumps. Keeping old versions in tree is not "gratis". |
