replace rust with rust-bin

Hi folks, quick question today (and apologies if there's a guide I overlooked).
What's the best way to replace a non-bin package with a bin version? IE: I have rust installed, only 1 minor package needs it, I don't want to keep on rebuilding it... What's the best way to replace rust with rust-bin?
