If I'm just on the display-manager login screen, I can switch. From inside of GDM, logged in, I can't switch. When I use the keyboard shortcuts to get to TTY1-6 from within GDM, nothing happens. Also, this is no go from a console window:
I get a black screen, and my screen is flashing between 1080 to 480 resolution ... can't get back to TTY 8 and have to hard reboot.
I think it may be the nvidia binary driver; maybe there's a kernel switch to not use nvidia's binary for the framebuffer? I'm using the sys-kernel/gentoo-kernel-bin 5.11.14 binary kernel; how would I change module settings in the binary kernel? Genkernel or some other tool?
Help please (and thank you). |

The latest driver update fixed the issue. |
