Strange BIND error "dns_journal_compact failed"

Lately I've noticed this in my named.log file:

13-Apr-2021 20:59:22.957 dnssec: info: managed-keys-zone: Key 20326 for zone . is now trusted (acceptance timer complete)
13-Apr-2021 20:59:50.967 general: error: managed-keys-zone: dns_journal_compact failed: no more


I'm running net-dns/bind-9.16.13 with these use flags:

Code:
net-dns/bind geoip -dlz -berkdb -postgres -mysql -ldap -bindist
net-dns/bind-tools gssapi


Bind appears to be running fine, but this error concerns me. Has anyone else encountered or resolve this?

This bug seems to be related, does it help you?

The bug seems to refer to managed keys and the recently introduced new journal format, does that apply to your configuration?

Thanks pa4wdh, that does look exactly like the issue I'm having. I'll try a few things mentioned but it looks like it might end up being a bug they're patching upstream.
