Hi,
to install Gentoo Linux, i need to get my network card running, b.c i have to do this Rsync. The PCI autodetection returns my networkcard (RealTek 8029(AS)), and shows up the drivers (ne2k-pci). There are red exclamation marks at the end of the line where the hardware ist listed, and the list where the loaded modules show up was empty. So i though i might need to load the drivers somehow diffrent? How can i make gentoo recognize my network card?

Thanx in advance
Ra

just type in
modprobe ne2k-pci
you can check whether the modul was loaded correctly by typing in lsmod

Hi,
run depmod -a first before typing "modprobe net2k-pci".
