Hi, guys. After a long installation and configuration of Gentoo, I came across an error with the Time and Date Manager in the MATE Control Center, the following message appears:
GetNtpState
GDBus.Error: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.freedesktop.timedate1 was not provided by any .service files
When I click on the "OK" button, I am taken to the settings, but everything is blocked. I have already configured ntp(ntp-client and ntpd) in the order of boot and sync time.

|
You see maybe MATE DE was not designed to work with openrc.
You are getting this error because it tries to invoke missing systemd files, probably
timedatectl
