Calculate linux has been based on Gentoo.

should tell where DISTDIR is.
It will be set in your profile but some older tools will want to read it from make.conf.

Is that set in make.conf or only in your profile?
Its not a default location for Gentoo, so adding | Code: | | DISTDIR="/var/calculate/distfiles" |
to make.conf may help

There is no /var/calculate/distfiles there so you can't eclean it.
When you build something, emerge should say where its downloading files too.

show?
the -a means all.
make.conf as a file or directory works. The file in make.conf/ are concatenated in lexical order before being treated as a make.conf file.

Tried to add file in make.conf, but without sucess.
I got "sucessfuly saved" but, when I open make.conf, again it's empty. |

my thinking is that DISTDIR really is "/var/calculate/distfiles" but since Calculate has binaries for practically everything, nothing was build yet ( and only is build if package settings are changed ).
RIA77,
there are files called "custom" which is where you should make the changes. Probably the file you edited was managed by their Calculate templates, like mentioned in the top comments in the file. You can always override it with xxxx.conf.clt, like in the file comments.
( is this necrobumping? sorry if it is, but just trying to give some clue at what is probably happening ) |
