|
|
Although the reply-to address I am trying to use is valid from the internet, on my local box it is being rejected. (I do not want to use a re-write rule to change it.) Any idea on how do get postfix not to "bounce" the attempted outgoing message? Or how I "tell" postfix that the mailbox is available?
Code: | status=bounced (host 127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1] said: 550 Request failed; Mailbox unavailable (in reply to end of DATA command)) |

Outgoing message? - it should not be your server answering with Mailbox unavailble then? |

Yes it is for an outgoing message and this is a new issue. Weeks ago I could change the reply-to field in Thunderbird without issue. |

Probably a wrong address mapping in postfix.
It would be easier to find if you showed your config file |

Are you using your own Gentoo box as the SMTP server? If yes, try the same thing with an external account's SMTP server as part of your troubleshooting. _________________ Andy Figueroa
