Help replacing default xfce window manager [SOLVED]

Quick question: How do I replace xfwm4 with i3? I have edited ~/.xinitrc to have i3 in it, but neofetch still shows me that xfwm4 is my window manager.

Here a more complete howto, for install package you should replace apt-get install <package> command with emerge <package>.
For packages xfce4-i3-workspaces-plugin and libi3ipc-glib packages, that aren't present in gentoo tree, you can use this overlay.
