Hello All
The new (updated to close quite a few bugs) Gentoo PPC 1.2-r1 ISO is online at your favorite mirror 
Also to be found is the 1.4_beta ISO in the same place.
**WARNING** : the 1.4_beta is for testing only, and let it be known now you will have to recompile everyting/reinstall with the 1.4 final release as there have been ABI changes again since our gcc 3.2_cvs snapshot.

just a few questions:
is the bug when the swedish keymap is selected (when booted from cd) fixed?
why are there no isos with stage2+3 tbz files included? |

Both ISO's online have stage 1, 2, and 3 tarballs on them, the 1.4_beta ISO has 2 sets of stage2/3, one ppc and the other g4 optimized.
I wasn't aware of a problem with the keyboard layouts. If the problem still exists we would need some assistance tracking down as none of the current devs are using intl keyboard layouts ATM  |

i have a 1.2 iso. when i chose 16 for Swedish i got a very strange layout without any keys for CTRL, SHIFT and TAB and some other rather convenient keys. Is the keymap changed immediately to swedish, or will it do that upon reboot?
edit: ok, now i see that the new isos are bigger. ill just wait til they get to my nearest mirror |

I'm trying Gentoo Linux 1.4b. Booting from cdrom if I take the Spanish Keyboard option (15) the system becomes inusable because the keyboard is crazy. Example: Te "Enter" key shows a "C", the "Power Button" does a backspace.
My computer is an Apple Powerbook Titanium.
¿How I can set the Spanish Keyboard? Thanks in advance.

| there is only current the 1.4 beta ISO (unless someone has removed it from the mirrors without telling me). A 1.4 ISO will be forthcoming.. which leads me to another post shortly after this one |
