Connecting to a HDD plugged into my router

Hi everybody,

It's been ages since I've been on here. Long story short, but I've just not had time and there were no problems to report.

Anyway, I've run into a puzzle, which I expect is pretty easily solved, but, what can I say, I'm stuck.

I recently hooked up an HDD to my TP-Link Archer VR600 router. I managed to mount the share on Windows 10, but I cannot work out how to do this in Linux, although I have accessed windows shares in the past.

I don't know the filesystem, although the router only works with NTFS and, I think, VFS, and the drive was used to back some files up from a Windows device.

Under Windows, I'm not prompted for a password.

When I try a typical mount, I get errors saying that the device can't be found. I've tried mounting with cifs, ntfs, and have tried including admin as a username, which doesn't work either. I've tried many other permutations.

According to the router, the Network/Media Server Name is Online_Media. I have paths to two folders, namely Music_Collection and Video_Collection, the volume name is sda1, and the directories on the drive of interest are Video and Music.

I am sure I'm missing something simple and basic, so any help would be appreciated.

do you want to access the drive locally or via network?
locally, you need dev and fs.
network, you need protocol and info ("sharename," user/pass et al.) (no devname, no fs)

assuming the disk is connected to the router, what happens when you call (on your linux-box)
