I'm running Bluez 5.43-r1 on gentoo-sources 4.9.14, with a Plasma 5 desktop. I've tried connecting a couple of Bluetooth devices to my desktop, and it appears to work briefly but then immediately disconnects and reports that the pairing failed. I'm not able find any information in the logs about the failure, so I'm not sure where the problem may lie. I've tried the same devices on my Ubuntu 16.04 laptop running Plasma fine and they work fine there with the laptop's built in Bluetooth adapter.
Here's the USB info for my desktop's Bluetooth dongle, a Rocketek Bluetooth 4 adapter:
Code: | Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0a12:0001 Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd Bluetooth Dongle (HCI mode) |
And output from hciconfig

I've been through the Bluetooth wiki page, and everything seems to be set up and almost working. I can scan and see devices without any issue. Kernel modules and system services seem to all be there as far as I can tell, devices just don't seem to stay connected. If anyone has ideas, or even just suggestions on where to look for logging or how to turn on additional logging, I'd appreciate it, thanks! |
