Hello
I want to Install gentoo 1.1A (132 MB version)
on a AMD K6 III 450 and i have the: 3com 905TX Network card
and gentoo instell the 3c59x module automatially and it seems to work.
after i setup IP adress, NM and GW
i tried to ping my gateway computer but dont get any responce
but i can ping my self.
If i ping to any other computer in my network the traffic light on my hub flickers but no computer respond....
Network:
GW: 192.168.0.1
my currently machine: 192.168.0.3
the linux machine: 192.168.0.7
NM: 255.255.255.0
i checked the network setup again and again, changed the nic to a dlink DFE 530 and back changed Network cable and another hub slot - nothing works.
Before i had a windoze on the machine that worked fine
can anyone help me? |

Sounds like a routing problem. Could you share with us the output of "route -n"? For example mine outputs: Code: | nitro@flex nitro $ /sbin/route -n
