Hi guys n gals,
following the guide here http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/alsa-guide.xml , alsaconf does not detect my sound device. I selected the modules and disabled OSS e.t.c but it still doesnt work.
When i try to boot it, during start up one of the lines says something like "are you sure you compiled drivers?". I dont know where the log file is otherwise i would get it for you.. lol
My Mobo is a Shuttle Nforce 3 150, the audio is AC97.
Thanks

Gruelius,
Lets start at the beginning.
Please post your lspci, showing the MultiMedia devices. nForce3 chipsets were used with two different sound chips that I know of, so we need to know which one you have. _________________ Regards,
