Dear All,

I am running gentoo amd stable on an FX 8300 box.

I am currently performing a world update.

I noticed that the file .xinitrc does not exist.

I tried emerging the xinit package but it did not solve the problem.

Comments appreciated.

Regards

MF

No package install .xinitrc in your home directory, make it yourself

mikefot,

Depending on how you start your GUI ~/.xinitrc may not be read.

If you use startx, its the per user what to run file. When its missing, Xorg tries to run three xterms and an analogue clock, all wrapped up in twm.
