Hello everyone! I was successfully running gentoo with kde, but all of the sudden, when I turned on my laptop, sddm didn’t start. Now kde doesn’t start anymore. I was following this guide https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/NVIDIA/nvidia-drivers until the configuration step, I have just added the nvidia flag in VIDEO_CARDS and performed a world update. I don’t know if it is because of this.
Anyway, if I try to manually run sddm it shows
Code:

DAEMON: Failed to read display number from pipe
DAEMON: Display server failed to start. Exiting

And if I run xrandr I get this:
Code:
Can’t open display

This is my first post, spike. So, I hope you feel lucky. With that out of the way, have you checked your Xorg logs? Also consider running the commands with verbose output. The flag change might be the cause, but I think we need a better idea of where the commands are failing so we can identify a root cause.
