|
|
I just purchased a new laptop with the following specs and am wondering if gentoo will work on it.
AMD 64 3200 cpu
VIA K8T800 chipset
ATI Radeon 9600 pro Mobile (m10p)
1GB PC3200 DDR So Dimms
Via compatible Fast Ethernet Adapter
Matshita DVD-RW/RAM Drive
Via AC97 Sound
SD/MMC Card Reader
Is it too new for gentoo to work on it? Thats what I'm afraid of. |

thats a seriously well equiped laptop but try and keep it cool during the install, laptops in general arent really designed for such prolonged load _________________ Giay tay nam | Giay nam cao cap | Giay luoi |

Who makes AMD 64 based laptops anyway? Mind posting a pick of your new toy? _________________ Doomwookie

that's my best guess.
a laptop like this isn't gonna overheat anytime soon - the entire thing is more copper than anything else |
