Haven't tried building but looks like bug #692436 and part of a bigger tracker bug. Despite fix being simple the bug is getting old though (seems lacking a active maintainer). May be better off either fixing yourself with a user patch, downgrading mysql connector, or use something better-maintained rather than wait.

What would be the easiest way to fix it myself?

Didn't really look into but as mentioned in the bug, you really just need to replace "my_bool" with "bool".

Haven't tried building but can make a patch by running:
Code:
cat <<EOF > boolfix.patch
--- a/src/mysql_drv.c   2012-04-11 14:48:33.000000000 -0400
+++ b/src/mysql_drv.c   2020-02-22 04:32:15.099994551 -0500
@@ -3461,7 +3461,7 @@
   snprintf(attrib, sizeof(attrib), "%sReconnect", prefix);
   if (_ds_match_attribute(CTX->config->attributes, attrib, "true"))
   {
-      my_bool reconnect = 1;
+      bool reconnect = 1;
       mysql_options(dbh, MYSQL_OPT_RECONNECT, &reconnect);
   }
 #endif
EOF
Then move boolfix.patch to /etc/portage/patches/mail-filter/dspam

Hope it works.
