Hi,

after some upgrading (I did not do it in quite some time), X11 fails to start. The error I get is:

Code:

(==) Log file: "/var/log/Xorg.0.log", Time: Mon Dec 16 08:49:59 2019
(==) Using config directory: "/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d"
(==) Using system config directory "/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d"
(II) [KMS] Kernel modesetting enabled.
/usr/bin/X: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/radeon_drv.so: undefined symbol: exaGetPixmapDriverPrivate
xinit: giving up

I don't see any relevant error in Xorg.log. I have an older ATI Radeon card.

By reading around on the Net, I already tried to re-emerge

Code:

*  x11-drivers/xf86-video-ati
      Latest version available: 19.0.1
      Latest version installed: 19.0.1

*  x11-libs/libdrm
      Latest version available: 2.4.97
      Latest version installed: 2.4.97

But it did not help. I did not try down-grading anything yet.

Some suggestions say this happens if the ATI driver is run without acceleration, but I do not specify anything.
My
Code:
xorg.conf.d
is essentially empty. It contains only a 20opengl.conf file with an empty section.

somebody shares the pain or has a solution?

I found that too... but it says "this happens when HW acceleration is disabled", but I did not disable it at all, I actually want to use it :-P It used to work.

PS: this problem happens also on my workstation, which has a newer ATI card
