Cinemas are too loud.

The wife and I saw Ford v Ferrari the other night, and the soundtrack volume was painfully loud at times.

Yep, agree.

Also, old JB went to the moving pictures for the first time in eight or so years (I had a voucher to burn), Joker - why the hell can't people turn their bloody phones off ?

Every five minutes somebody would fish a smartphone out and I'd catch a flash.

No machetes though.

++

It's the special effects & music being way more loud than needed. They need to balance it closer to dialogue.

They're being "culturally enriched".
