|After upgrading to xfce 4.14, it seems that the default Gentoo themed background in lightdm shortly gets plastered over with xfce4's logo screen shortly after login prompt shows up.
I ended up disabling the Gentoo theme background to streamline boot, kinda silly to load something and load something else right away:
edit /etc/lightdm/lightdm-gtk-greeter.conf and comment out background= in the [greeter] section
Any reason for this change...and easy fix to revert so we keep the Gentoo themed lightdm background? I suspect it's some plugin or something to lightdm to show some xfce background but I haven't figured out how this gets set, but for now just left the xfce themed lightdm background.
